Howqua Lodge

HOWQUA

There’s a spot way up in the mountains

That I will always hold dear

Where the beautiful Howqua River flows into the Eildon Weir.

There’s a lodge up there on the hillside

Neath the mountains against the sky

Where we sit on a summer evening, and let the hours go quietly by.

Looking westward toward the sunset, with the lake reflecting gold

And the mountains stark in the background

What a beautiful sight to behold.

As the sun sinks over the mountains, the lake takes a silvery sheen.

And its one of the prettiest pictures

My eyes have ever seen.
